New Year “Shuba” Layered Salad with Salmon in Glasses, Topped with Red Caviar

Ingredients:
  • Lightly salted salmon — 200 g
  • Potatoes — 3 pcs
  • Carrots — 2 pcs
  • Beets — 2 pcs
  • Eggs — 3 pcs
  • Red onion — 1 small
  • Mayonnaise — 150–200 g
  • Red caviar — 2–3 tsp
  • Salt, pepper — to taste
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the vegetables. Boil the potatoes, carrots, and beets until soft. Then cool, peel, and grate each vegetable separately.
  2. Prepare the eggs. Boil the eggs until hard, cool them, and grate.
  3. Prepare the salmon. Cut the salmon into small cubes and finely chop the red onion.
  4. Assemble the salad in glasses. Layer the ingredients in the following order:
    • potatoes + light layer of mayonnaise
    • salmon + a little onion + a drop of mayonnaise
    • carrots + thin layer of mayonnaise
    • eggs
    • beets + final thin layer of mayonnaise
  5. Decorate. Top with ½ tsp of red caviar and a small sprig of dill.
  6. Chill. Place the glasses in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours so the salad becomes tender and flavorful.
